Forty-five children created Pinewood Derby cars in early January
and then participated in the Fellowships first Pioneer Club
Pine Car Derby on January 31. A total of 120 people came to the
derby, including participants, parents, observers, and judges.

First up were the non-racing awards, such as most colorful, most
creative, fastest looking, etc.

After a short break for pizza and desserts, the
races began. Each driver got to race his or her car
on each of the three tracks.

We ended the night with a clip from the movie Cars
and a short devotional.
Thanks to the many hands that put this night together: Chip Randall
and Kevin Butt for the 35-foot track, Dave Durang for the computerized
finish line, Kevin Butt and Nancy and Dave Durang for working
with the kids in assembling the cars. It was a great night of
fellowship!
